Affectionately known around the farm as our “cheerleader” (she’s a pretty thing and, boy, does she know it), Riddles is everything you’d hope for in a Rocky - personable, smooth as glass, with a heart born to work. She was also the one who started it all for us. Our very first Rocky Mountain horse. We saw her for sale on Facebook, reached out to her sellers, and hopped into the truck headed for Kentucky- tornado warnings be damned. We brought her back to the farm as an unstarted three-year-old and we immediately got to work. She’s a rock star in the round pen, eats up the trails, and is Mark’s primary trail horse. She’s completed hundreds of miles all over the southeast since we put her under saddle in 2020. She’s a surefooted little mountain horse with Magnum’s ground-eating gait. Riddles is the perfect example of how a naturally hotter horse can become a solid, safe trail partner with consistent, patient training. In addition to being a phenomenal trail horse, she’s a certified search and rescue horse and has a ton of natural cow sense. We were blown away at how she performed on a cattle drive. She is currently in foal to Halal’s Kavanah for her first foal - due April 2025. We are super excited to see what kind of mama she will end up being and know that we will cherish her foals.
