What to expect out of a Daisy Clipper horse

Here at Daisy Clipper Farms, we believe in quality over quantity. We are focused on creating safe, comfortable trail partners and always want to ensure that our horses are well-matched with their new owner’s wants and needs. We do not ‘flip’ horses. Our horses have all been with us for extended periods of time some were even born and raised here. We do not rush our training but believe that investing a significant amount of time in training is absolutely imperative.

All of the finished horses we offer for sale are registered and certified with the RMHA and color-tested through UC Davis. Specifics on each horse are listed in great detail on our “for sale” page, but there are some general things that you can expect out of all of our finished trail horses. They all have a solid foundation of groundwork that create a safe and respectful horse on the ground. They do all the “things” and they do them well - like leading, loading, bathing, standing for the farrier and fly spray, etc. In addition to working through obstacles on our farm’s obstacle course, our finished trail horses have traversed a variety of trails and been exposed to just about everything that you can imagine. They have been ridden throughout the southeast, from rugged mountain trails to the sandy coastal plains, and have multiple camping trips under their belt. We train all of our trail horses to safely overnight in corrals, stalls, as well as high tie. We always track our miles and can give you an exact number of trail miles the horse you are looking at has under its belt.

All of the weanlings we offer for sale are registered with the RMHA and color-tested through UC Davis. They have been handled since birth and received age-appropriate training that includes, at a minimum, leading, tying, and loading.
